How are Röwa products manufactured?
Take a look behind the scenes. We show you how a foam block is transformed into a sophisticated mattress.
Continuity
Proud and passionate
Continuity is virtually a matter of course at Röwa. Many of the 150 Bettenmacher have been with the company for years. We identify with the products we develop, manufacture and sell. Our experts rely on their own craftsmanship and their awareness of what constitutes the true value of a product. All our employees form a single unit. Each action is well planned and carefully implemented. The company calls for and fosters mindfulness – in processing and production, but also in how we treat each other.
Quality down to the last detail
From the tree to the slatted frame
The timber for Röwa slatted frames is procured locally and processed in our own sawmill. This high degree of vertical integration pays off, ensuring premium quality right down to the last detail for Röwa products. Our employees are especially proud of this value chain at the heart of our high-quality products.
Spring slats
Sturdy and elastic
There are lots of steps required to manufacture the elastic, yet stable spring slats for our slatted frames. The most important foundation is the premium, carefully selected beech wood from our company-owned sawmill. Learn more about all the other steps in our video. Without revealing too much: it’s hot and multi-layered!
Mattress foams
Core expertise of the Röwa brand
Many mattress manufacturers purchase mattress foams on the market and rely on the supplied quality. Röwa is different. Here, development and production of the mattress foams are part of our core expertise. After all, the quality of the mattress is crucial for good, healthy sleep. We rely on continuous quality controls and premium foams developed in-house with as much natural raw material as possible. In the video, our CEO Manfred Greiner explains the role a good mattress foam plays in a good night’s sleep.
Foam engineering
The right recipe
Want some more details? In the second video, our chemist explains the individual steps of foam engineering (German only). Like baking a cake, a sophisticated recipe and comprehensive experience lead to an exceptional result.
Mattress covers
For a true sense of well-being
More than just a cover: mattress covers are elaborately processed fabrics made of premium textiles. You can feel straight away that they come from Röwa, thanks to their pleasant feel and softness. Each and every cover supports the ergonomic functions of the "overall mattress system" for a great night's sleep. All covers are manufactured at the Röwa company headquarters in Mössingen, including final assembly. Or, as Klaus Angele, head of mattress production at Röwa, puts it:
Core and cover are married.
