Röwa Matratzen
Mattresses – Trust Your Sleeping Experience
Which mattress is right for you? The selection is huge—from cold foam and comfort foam to innerspring mattresses. To ensure you feel comfortable in bed, choosing the right mattress is crucial for your well-being. In addition to a sense of coziness and relaxation, health considerations must not be overlooked. After all, the wrong mattress can easily lead to back pain and muscle tension. In the worst case, it can even cause serious disc problems.
When buying a mattress, you’re the ultimate judge, because there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all mattress. Everyone is different. In other words: Even if your partner sleeps wonderfully on your mattress, you might not be able to sleep a wink on the same one. Your preferred sleeping positions play just as big a role as your height, weight, body type, sensitivity to pressure, how much you sweat, and any allergies you may have.
No matter how you lie, the mattress should always keep your spine straight in its natural shape—it should neither sag nor curve unnaturally. With the right mattress, your body can relax completely, and health problems can be prevented.
That’s why Röwa mattresses are divided into different support zones that provide point-elastic support and are optimized to support different parts of the body. Special designs have been developed specifically for shoulder support.
Mattress Firmness Level
There’s a perfect mattress for every type of sleeper. Choosing the right mattress firmness level is an important decision. In addition to weight, it depends on body type, sleeping habits, and preferred sleeping comfort. Everyone perceives comfort differently. Röwa’s firmness levels range from soft, medium, to firm and extra-firm. Unfortunately, there is no fixed standard for firmness levels, as personal preference plays a major role here.
Mattress foam and cold-foam mattresses.
Röwa does not use standard foams in its mattress production; instead, it develops its own foams. The foams used are regularly tested for emissions and ingredients that may pose health risks. For certified mattresses, the eco-INSTITUT label confirms compliance with the criteria. To this end, Röwa collaborates with renowned testing institutes. The density of the foam affects the mattress’s support. Just like baking a cake, the recipe is key in foam production. The best components result in high-quality foam. The density of the foam is important for durability and dimensional stability. High density means more material in the same volume and, consequently, fewer air bubbles. Mattress cores made of AirCon® Cell or Biosyn are Röwa’s own developments.
Cold-foam mattresses are particularly suitable for people with allergies. Röwa also manufactures these mattresses from natural materials, such as latex or Talalay latex with a natural latex content. In addition, there are hygienic mattresses with specially developed, modular mattress covers that are moisture-impermeable yet breathable and can be washed at 90 degrees.
How to Lie Correctly
As a general rule, the spine is straight when the head, shoulders, torso, buttocks, and legs can sink into the mattress to varying degrees. To create the best possible conditions for the body, mattresses consist of areas of varying firmness, known as zones. These zones provide your body with varying levels of support. The neck, head, and shoulder areas require different support than the lower back or leg areas. Only a mattress with multiple zones can adapt perfectly to your body. Mattresses with seven zones are the most popular because they optimally meet sleeping requirements.
Inner-spring mattresses—if you sweat heavily
A classic among mattresses is the innerspring mattress. This is due not only to its excellent support for the body but also to its exceptional stability and durability. The innerspring core inside the mattress consists of several interconnected steel or metal springs. The air pockets between them ensure excellent breathability. Moisture is effectively wicked away and can escape easily thanks to the internal zones. Innerspring mattresses also differ in terms of their spring types. In a pocket-spring mattress, the steel springs are enclosed in fabric pockets.
Cold-foam mattress—if you feel the cold easily
Do you have trouble sleeping at night or suffer from joint or back pain during the day? Then a cold-foam mattress might be right for you. Thanks to its ideal body support, you’ll lie straight and your muscles can finally relax at night. The excellent point elasticity yields in the right places while providing optimal support elsewhere. Thanks to a special manufacturing process, the cold foam mattress has an open-cell, irregular foam structure at its core, ensuring adequate ventilation. These outstanding hygienic properties also benefit people with allergies, as they make it easier to maintain a dry sleeping environment. Cold foam mattresses do not give way when you move. As soon as you change your position and the pressure is relieved, the cold foam returns to its original shape. The 7-zone cold foam mattress, with its seven ergonomic zones, adapts to your body. The result is balanced spinal alignment and a restful night’s sleep.
Before making your final decision, be sure to test out different mattresses at a specialty bedding store to find out which type of mattress and firmness level is right for you.
