Best materials
High-tech material straight out of nature: at Röwa, regional beech wood is processed at the company sawmill as part of the slatted frame and bed.
Safe and free from pollutants
All of our products focus on regeneration. Good sleep requires feeling safe in the knowledge that you can rely on the quality of the purchased products. Röwa products meet the highest of standards thanks to selected materials and high-quality craftsmanship.
All materials we process are comprehensively tested and certified for their human compatibility. In addition, our mattresses and slatted frames are regularly inspected for possible pollutants by the independent eco-Institut in Cologne, Germany. The tests search for all known substances that are potentially harmful to health and ensure that limit values are maintained. We or our suppliers implement necessary changes immediately. We follow our own, much stricter standards than those specified by generally approved guidelines. "Be better, achieve more" is our irrefutable motto.
Innovative foams
MTS biosyn® and AirCon® Cell
MTS biosyn® and AirCon® Cell are HR cold foams manufactured exclusively for Röwa. Their production process is especially environmentally friendly. Instead of mineral oil, we use natural vegetable oils, such as soya oil. Pure water is used for foaming, eliminating the need for CFC.
Besides their sound environmental record, MTS biosyn® and AirCon® Cell feature a heterogeneous bubble structure that makes for an especially high point elasticity and an excellent sleeping climate. Thanks to their high breathability, our cold foam mattresses are outstanding for people who tend to sweat at night.
The textiles
Natural fibre mattress covers
The overall mattress system also includes mattress covers. These soft-to-the-touch fabrics are not only kind to the skin, they also help regulate the air and moisture thanks to their high breathability.
We offer various cover materials for your individual requirements. Our washable jersey cover, for example, includes a woven silver fibre with a natural antibacterial effect. The warm and soft natural cover contains French Plein-Air wool from Charollais sheep from the region of Auvergne, as well as natural fibres made of corn starch, surrounding you with pure nature.
The wood for our slatted frames
We get the beech timber for our slatted frames from native forests right outside our company headquarters in Mössingen at the foot of the Swabian Alb. Each tree is carefully inspected, as we only use the best timber for Röwa slatted frames – free of knots. In our video, Götz Graf von Bülow, the acting head of the forestry department for the district of Tübingen, explains what exactly that means for timber quality.
