Innovations for ergonomics and comfort
What makes a bed a system? A bed system consists of multiple perfectly matched components that adapt to the anatomy of the user. See how it works here.
Relax your back
When we look at the sleeping position applying ergonomic criteria, the spinal column must be in the position of its natural contours. The head, shoulders and legs are also sensitive to the interplay of mattress and sprung base. At Röwa, the quality of an overall bed system can be measured in our development and test lab using objective data, real test persons and technical simulations. For many of us, an incorrect sleeping position results in tense neck and back muscles. We wake up in the morning with a backache and left feeling "knackered". The key is finding the right sleeping position. Bespoke bed systems like the Röwa Ecco 2 offer a perfect combination of mattress and sprung base tailored to your shape – ensuring you can sleep deep and wake up rejuvenated.
ECCO 2: one-of-a-kind individuality
Height, weight, body type, sleeping habits: we’re all different. This is why we've developed the Ecco 2 bed system, which is unique on the German market. It consists of three components: a mattress, a slatted frame and a neck support pillow. All these components can be tailored individually to anyone. So, taking measurements before making a purchase is key.
The measuring station
Feel the before/after effect
Our dealers determine your exact dimensions using a measuring station developed by Röwa. The slatted frame, mattress and neck support pillow are selected based on this data and tailored to your exact needs. The settings can then be adjusted "live" on the measuring station. In other words, the bed is configured while you are laying in it. With this immediate before/after effect, you can really feel what it means to be laying in the right position. The result is an ideal, ergonomically designed bed.
In our video, you can see how the measuring station works.
Certified ergonomics
Optimised and distinguished
All Röwa bed components are tested by the Ergonomie-Institut München, Dr. Heidinger, Dr. Hocke, Dr. Jaspert GmbH – or EIM for short – and optimised on the basis of the results. Some systems are even assessed according to the Ergo-Test® directives. EIM grants an inspection certificate for the test, which has made a name for itself through its realistic standard test methods for bed systems. The Ecco 2 product line received a "Good" mark in the ergonomics test, the best mark awarded to any bed system so far.
Fresh air for healthy sleep
FreciousCare indoor air purifier
In cooperation with the world’s market leader in filter technology, Röwa developed the unique FreciousCare indoor air purifier because we are convinced that good sleep begins with pure air. Today, high air quality is not a given. Air contamination is often much worse indoors than outdoors. The FreciousCare eliminates undesired and dangerous pollutants in the air. With a three-stage filtration process, the quiet and energy-efficient unit makes for a noticeably cleaner room climate. Thanks to its quiet operating mode, the FreciousCare air purifier can continue to work while you're sleeping, without disturbing you in any way.
Sleeping free of electrosmog
With the free-elec® switch
More and more people are keen to have a bedroom free of electro-magnetic interference fields. With the Röwa-patented free-elec® switch, you can enjoy the comfort of an electrically adjustable slatted frame, yet sleep free of electrosmog.
Exclusively used by Röwa, free-elec® switching stops the flow of current when the motor is at a standstill, ensuring that the cables and motor are free from electrical interference – for a sound night's sleep.
